In 1978, Hermann Sand & Gravel, Inc. was purchased by the Engemann family. Since then, the business has grown but has remained committed to meeting the unique needs of our clients.
We provide high quality aggregate products with competitive pricing for clients throughout the state of Missouri from our two locations. Hermann Sand & Gravel employs 10-12 people. We are proud of our sand plant employees and marine services crew members who take pride in their work. Without them we couldn’t grow the business or offer our quality products and services.
Hermann Sand & Gravel also operates Missouri River Transportation, LLC, www.missouririvertowing.com a barge towing service operating primarily on the Missouri River from St. Louis to Sioux City, Iowa, and also on the Upper Mississippi and Illinois Rivers, providing marine transportation services including commercial hopper barge service and transporting construction equipment.
